Trans Health Webinar Bundle (part 1 and 2)
This webinar can support you to create a practice that is truly welcoming, inclusive and affirming of trans and gender diverse people. During part one you will learn the following:
Trans 101: basic definitions, pronoun etiquette, terminology do’s and don’ts.
A brief history of gender diversity & gender in First Nation cultures.
Gender affirming clinical language; intake forms and in consult questions.
How to create a welcoming clinic space.
Intersections of neurodivergence and basics of neurodivergence affirming practice.
During part two you will learn the following:
An introduction to gender affirming hormone therapy (GAHT); masculinising and feminising hormones, puberty blockers, hormone metabolism, adverse effects.
Interactions between GAHT, drugs, herbs and nutrients.
Accurate pathology interpretation.
Case studies including non binary, trans masculine and trans feminine individuals.
Critical analysis of trans health information and research; how to identify mis/disinformation
