Hi, I’m Sam (he/him)

Professional Association: NHAA

How I practice

Central to my practice is accessibility and an approach to wellbeing which is anti-diet and anti-wellness culture.

I work with a gentle nutrition framework and an understanding of how systemic fat phobia impacts our relationship with food.

A gentle nutrition approach is anti-diet and welcomes all body sizes.

My approach to nutrition is neurodivergent affirming. This approach rejects ideas of "picky eating" and instead embraces food choices which are safe and nourishing.

See the accommodations section here to read more about the accommodations built in to my services.

My (virtual) clinic is proudly LGBTQIA+ and SW welcoming.

I’m particularly passionate about advocating for gender affirming complementary and allied health care for trans and gender diverse people and provide practitioner education on this topic.

About me

I’m a degree qualified naturopath (BHS Nat) with a passion for accessible healthcare which takes a strong stand against diet and wellness culture.

I enjoy research and take an evidence based approach which also respects the knowledge gained through lived experience and community knowledge sharing.

I am particularly passionate about access to reproductive health related care for queer and trans folk and am currently a PhD candidate looking at barriers to care for trans and gender diverse people with endometriosis.

I enjoy arts and crafts projects, going for walks and collecting flowers, meeting people’s pets, and love orange foods!
